Having grown up with horses, Sam spent almost 20 years in the racing industry working in all facets of the industry in Australia and overseas. In 2017 she began study with Equinology and has studied many modalities through Equinology and other providers. Over the years she has taken most of the Equinology courses, some of them several times and is passionate about learning more and sharing knowledge to improve the quality of care for our equine friends. She operates a thriving equine bodywork business servicing the Mid North Coast, Northern Tablelands and New England areas and is dedicated in providing the best in equine bodywork to her clients.

Having previously worked within the human health industry, I began my career in equine manual therapy in 2008 as an Equinology student. I have continued professional development with Equinology courses in Australia along with a Bachelor of Equine Science, Neurokinetic Therapy and currently undertaking post graduate program in Animal Sports Therapies and Rehabilitation with the Academy of Animal Sports Science. I have ridden horses at amateur show jumping level in Australia and briefly worked in training yards in Europe and South Africa.

I am highly motivated by deepening and broadening my skill and knowledge base and thoroughly enjoy being a part of the learning and educational process.

Dr. Raquel will be hosting Equinology® courses in the Wodonga, Victoria area.

Dr. Raquel Butler graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) Melbourne University in 2004, worked in mixed practice in Australia and overseas for 8 years before branching into Integrated Veterinary Therapeutics, her own mobile based practice treating animals with body work. She is an Equine Muscle Release Therapy (EMRT) practitioner and Equinology® Equine Body Worker and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Animal Biomechanical Medicine encompassing chiropractic and osteopathic and rehabilitation techniques as well as obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in 2022 and a Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education in 2020. She has studied many therapies including CranioSacral, Masterson, Acupuncture Oriented Energetics, Myofascial acupuncture currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Animal Acupuncture. Raquel teaches clinics for both horse owners and professionals in Equine anatomy, biomechanics, postural development and taping nationally and internationally and spent over 5 years teaching subjects relating to Equine disease, injury, rehabilitation, locomotion and exercise physiology in the Bachelor Equine Science at Charles Sturt University.
